The Buddha worshipped at the Yakushaji temple in Nara, Japan.
Yakushaji, the temple in Nara, Japan was formally dedicated in 1995.
Miss Lorreta Yang’s hand-made statue of the Buddha Medicine is of the temple’s
permanent treasure in its Sutra Copying Hall. When Mr. Koin TAKADA took the
position of its superintendent priest, he asked Miss Yang to mold another one in a size for worship at home. She made it in the blue color as indicated in the old
scriptures, originally the verdant blue. Miss Yang commemorated the statue with
the words, “Wishing my next life be as clear as cystal.” meditating always with
this wish in mind.
