Within a split second, we witness light racing alongside the wind —

And an eternal yearning to strive toward the light.

Racing with light, striving without limits;
each stride a radiant bloom of life.

Like lightning, like fire,
This divine steed is born from light.

Its body pulses with tension amid light and shadow,
As if gravity no longer holds it down.
In this moment,
Faith transforms into reality —
Soaring like electricity across the sky;
The passion of life,
Unstoppable; victory, destined.

Crafted using the lost-wax casting technique with layered, multi-hued kiln-firing,
Light exists not only on the surface but flows subtly within the sculpture.

The translucent yet opaque nature of crystal glass, once fired, reveals a restrained vibrancy —
Much like the strength we envision in the horse: powerful yet not arrogant, steadfast yet calm.

This is more than a sculpture of a horse;
It is a tribute to every soul willing to believe and take flight.

Who can truly know how fast this horse runs?

It does not chase the wind—
it is the wind itself.

This glazed steed treads upon bamboo leaves poised in mid-fall, neither
fully descended nor entirely at rest, like a dream hovering between
reality and illusion.

Bamboo symbolizes integrity and vitality, and it is one of the fastest-growing
plants on Earth—a quality that mirrors the speed of the horse.

Its front hooves are raised, its eyes blazing like torches, as if it has just traveled
through time from ancient realms, yet its form is infused with the light of the future.
The blue glazed radiance is not merely a surface hue but a testament to faith and passion,
forged in fire.

This light is not transparent, not dazzling, yet profoundly deep.
It is like time—silent yet surging with power.

This is not merely a physical horse—
it is a leap of faith, an artistic interpretation of speed,
a symbol of humanity’s deepest yearning to soar.

Like water’s highest goodness—harmonious, collaborative, nurturing all things.
This is not merely a sculpture —

Artist Loretta H. Yang’s

twelve-year career in the performing arts earned her multiple honours, including Best Actress at the Golden Horse Awards and the Asia-Pacific Film Festival. Even after dedicating her life to liuli art, she never ceased her training. For her, sculpture and performance are one and the same: an externalization of inner passions and an exploration of silhouettes. This perceptiveness, honed over many years, has gradually evolved into a distinctive style – a unique language celebrating the beauty and joie de vivre.

After more than 38 years of sculptural practice, her 2025 equine series bears an acutely distilled spiritual essence. The horse, an untamed creature, dashes through life, unleashing strength and freedom. It is a portrait of Romanticism, conveying taunt emotion, expressing a lively and exalted state of being.
